eVestment's Top Hedge Funds In July 2019
Industry tracker eVestment's latest product viewership data is out, and again, we have a new leader this month. Frontier Investment Management's EM Frontier Fund topped the most viewed hedge fund by the hedge fund allocators and investment consultants who subscribe to eVestment in July. Oak Hill Advisors' Diversified Credit Strategies Fund and Canyon Capital's Value Realization Master Fund rounded out the top three.
At the firm level, which aggregates all products viewed by a management firm, AQR took top spot; its DELTA Strategy, a regular in these listicles, was AQR's top product in July. Bridgewater and PIMCO came in second and third.
At the strategy level in July, Fundamental Long/Short equity won out, followed by Multi-strategy/multi-market and Fund of Hedge Funds.
The 'rising firms' tracked by eVestment tracks the performance of a product vs. its last 6 month moving average of views. Sloane Robinson was the biggest riser this month, powered by its Global Fund. Frontier Investment Management's Frontier Fund was the firm's largest contributor to its overall second place and Winton Capital was the third biggest riser this month, powered by its Winton Fund.
As well as being the most viewed individual products overall on the eVestment platform in July, Frontier's EM Frontier Fund and Oak Hill's Diversified Credit Strategies Fund were also the top two rising products this month. PIMCO's Tactical Opportunities fund accounted for the only difference between rising products and overall products (Canyon Capital's Realization Master Fund was the only change, see above).
Be sure to check back next month for August's update!
