eVestment's Top Hedge Funds In September 2019
eVestment's most viewed hedge fund in September 2019 was Man Group's Man AHL TargetRisk product, which rose to number 1 last month after coming in second place in August. Graham Capital Management's Quant Macro Portfolio and Assenagnon Asset Management's Alpha Volatility product came in second and third place respectively.
The London-listed investment manager's top spot at the product level couldn't propel Man Group into the top three firms, however. Bridgewater was the most viewed investment manager overall, with AQR Capital Management second and Wellington Management Company third. Man came in fourth place.
At the strategy level, Fundamental long/short equity was the most searched yet again, for the ninth consecutive month, but a new face was the most viewed in that universe - Arcus Investment's Arcus Japan Long/Short fund.
Wellington Management had an interesting month; they were the biggest riser, in that the firm's product suite received more clicks vs. the previous 6 month moving average in September. Wellington's Select Opportunistic Commoditiies product was the firm's biggest riser of the products it sells, but at strictly the product level, Man AHL's TargetRisk and Assenagnon's Alpha Volatility product rose more, beating Wellington's Select Opportunistic Commodities to third place on the most viewed products list.
