Meredith Jones Goes To The US Capitol
Meredith Jones, author of "Women of The Street: Why Female Money Managers Generate Higher Returns (and How You Can Too)" testified in front of the U.S. Congress yesterday. The Committee on Financial Services Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion held a hearing called “Diverse Asset Managers: Challenges, Solutions and Opportunities for Inclusion”.
Jones argues, amongst other things, that diverse investment managers provide similar of higher returns; that access to diverse asset management talent may provide another diversification tool within portfolios and the concentration of venture capital investments into similar companies perpetuates unmet consumer needs and lack of investment and jobs into diverse and under-served communities.
