Help For Children Selects Deloitte As 2018 New York Gala Corporate Honoree
Help For Children (HFC) has selected Deloitte as the 2018 Corporate Honoree in recognition of their long standing commitment to HFC’s mission of preventing and treating child abuse. The award will be given at the 20th Annual HFC New York Gala being held on March 15, 2018 at the American Museum of Natural History in the Milstein Hall of Ocean Life.
“HFC is tremendously grateful for the ongoing and generous support of Deloitte over the past 20 years. Their commitment to our worldwide mission has played an integral role in our efforts to combat child abuse and neglect,” said Renée Skolaski, Executive Director and CEO of HFC. “Our work would not be possible without the support of organizations like Deloitte. We are thrilled to present this award to Deloitte during this anniversary year.”
Since inception, HFC has distributed over $21 million to organizations that work with children and families to prevent and treat child abuse in metropolitan New York City. During 2017, the foundation made grants of $1.1 million in the New York area.

Deloitte was selected as this year’s honoree because of its increased visibility and support of the Help For Children mission. Fisher is a global board member at the foundation and served as co-chair for past HFC galas; he will serve as honorary co-chair at this year’s event.
At the March 15th Gala, HFC is also presenting its Founders Award to Rob Davis, Managing Director at McAlinden Research Partners. In 1998, Mr. Davis, who as a young teacher, had seen the devastating effects of abuse on innocent children, organized the first dinner in NYC with the goal of raising funds for the prevention and treatment of child abuse. Embraced by the alternative investment community from the onset, HFC is now a worldwide presence operating with branches in seven countries.
The Gala will also be the kick off for Run2Heal, a 3,000-mile run across the United States. Christian Griffith, an abuse survivor and renowned endurance athlete, is undertaking this challenge to inspire a million people to break their silence about child abuse while raising $1 million to support HFC’s mission. After speaking at the Gala, Christian will start his run on March 19th, leading a 5K run as the first three miles of his 3,000-mile trek.
