A&P Emerging Manager Indexes Begin 2018 In Positive Territory
The A&P Emerging Manager Index (APEM Index©) and the A&P Emerging Manager UCITS Index (A&P EMU Index©) were off to a good start in the first month of 2018. The APEM Index© returning 3.67% in January, a record month and the A&P EMU Index© returning 0.44% in January.
Hedge Fund performance in January 2018 was the strongest January since 1997, according to HFR. This is despite the sudden revival of volatility towards the end of the month, leading to the recent shakeout that saw stocks, bonds & currencies across the world fluctuate wildly in early February.
Advisors & Partners LLP launched the A&P Emerging Manager Index (APEM Index©) on the 1st December 2015 and the A&P Emerging Manager UCITS Index ("A&P EMU Index©") on the 1st January 2017. Both the APEM index© and the A&P EMU Index© are designed to offer investors, who have a particular interest in early stage hedge fund investing, an effective research and benchmarking tool and to provide better visibility to asset managers who have launched new regulated offshore and onshore hedge fund investment products.
