Barclays: SWFs, Pensions To Be Lead Allocators To Hedge Funds In 2018

Pension funds and sovereign wealth funds are expected to be the lead investments in hedge funds with an anticipated $40bn flowing into the sector as investor sentiment remains positive for the rest of the year. According to Barclay’s annual survey ‘Go with the flows: Global hedge fund industry outlook’ put out last week found that the largest net allocators to hedge funds with $10bn each will be public and private pensions, sovereign wealth funds and private banks.
