Emerging Manager Hedge Funds Up 1.45% In Q1
The A&P Emerging Manager Index (APEM Index©) and the A&P Emerging Manager UCITS Index (A&P EMU Index©) ended March down in volatile market conditions. The APEM Index© returning -0.67% in March and the A&P EMU Index© returning -0.83%.
Hedge Funds ended the first quarter of 2018 slightly down with the Eurekahedge Hedge Fund Index returning approximately -0.18%. The APEM Index for the 1st quarter 2018 was up 1.45%. In general, March performance for Hedge Funds was broadly mixed, as a result of continued choppy and volatile trading conditions. March was also marked by concerns over the US and China trade war which negatively affected the global equity markets, with the S&P 500 down -2.69% in March and down -1.21% in the 1st quarter 2018.
