Value investor Oldfield Partners has promoted portfolio managers Harry Fraser and Sam Ziff to partner, taking the number of partners in the firm to 14, in a workforce of 29.
Fraser joined OP in August 2011 and manages the Global Smaller Companies portfolios, in addition to contributing to the overall investment selection. Prior to this, he worked at Herald Investment Management for five years as a research analyst, covering the media sector.
Ziff joined OP in April 2013 as an analyst and was made co-manager of the Global Equity Income strategy, alongside Richard Garstang, in 2016. He also contributes to the overall investment selection. Ziff was previously in the UK Industrials Corporate Finance team at J.P. Morgan Cazenove from 2009 to 2013.
Jamie Carter, Chief Executive Officer of OP, said: “Harry and Sam have both made significant contributions since they joined Oldfield Partners and I am delighted to announce their promotion to partners. It is important that they are able to progress effectively through the firm, and partnership embeds an ownership culture which aligns the team’s interests with those of our clients.”
