CEM Benchmarking's Hedge Fund Reality Check

Hedge fund performance has been poor in the last few years, but it hasn’t deterred investors from investing in them with pension funds increasing their exposure 25-fold between 2000 and 2016, according to recent data from CEM Benchmarking. However, fees remain high and their failure to provide consistent alpha, raised some questions about their suitability.
